Young and old alike flocked to the picturesque West Sussex village to enjoy an afternoon packed with family fun and entertainment.

Visitors tried their luck on the traditional sideshow stalls, perused the vintage vehicles and enjoyed a cup of tea listening to music from the Worthing Silver Band.

The children’s races were as popular as ever, as were the magnificent shire horses that visited the fete from Fisher’s Farm Park.

For those with green fingers the Horticultural and Craft Show marquee couldn’t fail to delight - allotment holders and gardeners put on the most spectacular display of prize winning fruit, vegetables and flowers. There were also plenty of cakes and bakes in the cookery classes, the popular photographic and craft entries were superb, as well as the wonderful life-size scarecrow competition.

The fun dog show had classes for every shape, size and type of dog. This year’s Judge, dog trainer and animal photographer Hilly Hoar, had a very difficult job on her hands when it came to judging the most handsome dog or the waggiest tail!

Sam Cookman, Chair of the Wisborough Green Fete Committee said: “It was another wonderful day for the village and fantastic to see hundreds of people enjoying a fabulous family day out. We are enormously grateful to all the volunteers who turn out in force to ensure this hugely popular event continues year after year.

“After such a great day we look forward to again being able to support a number of local good causes.”
