Jonathan Nunns, Subject Leader for Media Studies, commented: “It was a blast. Very informative and a real insight into how to get something made on a shoe string.”

The film itself, A Dark Reflection, included many scenes filmed in the Horsham area and provided insight for students into a business many of them hope to join across the wide range of film related careers.

Jonathan added: “The film was warmly received by the audience and has clearly inspired many of our students.”

Collyer’s Assistant Principal, Melanie Russell said: “This was a great chance for our media and film students to learn about the creative film-making process and the business side of putting it all together.”

The event ended with an extended Q and A session, as students quizzed Mr Lorraine for information and insider tips about how to break into a notoriously difficult industry.

Melanie Russell added: “Thanks to Jonathan Nunns for co-ordinating the event and to Tristan Lorraine for taking time out to speak to potentially the next generation of film-makers.”
