Fund-raiser thanks

I WOULD like to thank everyone who donated time and prizes to our St Barnabas fund-raiser at the end of August.

We raised nearly £1,700 in memory of Duncan Todd.

In particular, my thanks go to the 50 local business who donated prizes, also Elaine Rosier, Brenda Pagbee, Colette Pate, Hayley Card, Phil Mills, Zoe Westbrook, Chris Coles and Ian Burzie. They all put in considerable time and effort, for which I am so grateful.

Most importantly, I would like to thank The Dolphin landladies Katie and Ellie for being the driving force behind the whole day, bringing brilliant, fun ideas to fruition.

A job very well done!

Oh, and not forgetting the bar girls, Megan and Emily, who worked a 13-hour shift between them.

I am very proud to have such wonderful, caring friends and wish to express my gratitude to the community. Thank you.
