Gardens of delight

ON behalf of the Littlehampton in Bloom committee, I would like to thank the town council for the £200 grant towards the restoration of the sensory garden in Marina Gardens.

It is particularly for the enjoyment of the blind, partially sighted and disabled.

We look forward to working with the town council and Arun District Council on this project, especially as it will make a significant contribution to our entry into the 2012 South East in Bloom competition.

Should anyone wish to contribute further to the garden, we would, of course, be very grateful. Even though we are not entering the In Bloom competition this year, I would still like to compliment both councils for the excellent displays around the town.

The railway station also deserves special mention, particularly the local staff, who make such an effort to produce the welcoming displays.

Well-kept gardens, and local hostelries, all contribute to the excellent community spirit we enjoy in Littlehampton.
