Good mix of housing proposed for Shoreham's Salts Farm development

I recently attended the presentation by Hyde Homes, where they launched their development plans for land at News Salts Farm, Shoreham.

I must say that I found their proposals innovative and sympathetic, with a good mix of housing proposed.

The land they are proposing to develop does of course come with issues, but Hyde have thought long and hard in order to come up with answers to potential flooding and transport issues.

As a resident of Hove with a young family, I am well aware of the spiraling property prices locally, and any solution which can provide affordable homes for the next generation locally must be considered.

If we fail to do this, we will surely be guilty of committing the next generation to no other choice than that of rental, and we all know who benefits most from this.

I do hope the council will look on this favourably in due course.
