Currently, amongst hundreds of cameras in our town, we have ones in our streets, ones in our shops, ones in our schools, ones on all our modes of public transport, ones in our public toilets (re: Priory Meadow Men’s toilet), and now ones in our homes.

Chapel Park house, at least, has now installed surveillance cameras in its communal areas.

As I understand it the Government can only pass this sort of legislation under National Security Interested as it overrides our Human Rights.

Well, if that is the case, then I fear that the Government has acted beyond its powers. National Security Interests were initially set up to protect our borders and not to be used as a political free-for-all.

After all, I refuse to believe that our nations’ security is at stake if the Government’s representatives don’t film us in our homes, our schools and on our toilets.
