Have a thought for residents

How fortunate for Eric Hardwick MBE to now gloat on having ease of access on to Harley Shute.

It would have been wiser not to have written the letter as obviously it had not occurred to him that resolving a traffic problem in one area only relocates it in another.

I used the link road on Tuesday, January 5, which was not a problem until turning onto The Queensway to be confronted by a one-mile queue to the A21.

Since the link road has been open there has been a considerable increase of traffic traversing Wrestwood Road in Bexhill which results in difficulty in crossing the road by foot and for accessing by car, not only for the residents living on Wrestwood Road but all the side roads off.

Needless to say the speed limit is not adhered to.

This point of issue was made clear by local residents at the various consultation meetings prior to the building of the link road.

Perhaps Mr Hardwick will have a thought for the Bexhill residents when he next leaves his property.
