Help with recalling rocket attacks

2014 SEES the 70th anniversary of the terrifying V1 Flying Bomb attacks against South East England, of which East Sussex bore much of the brunt.

I am a military aviation history researcher and writer and TV documentary consultant and in the run-up to that anniversary in three years time I am embarking upon an ambitious project to log and map all V1 incidents in Sussex and Kent.

This will be a compilation based upon official records, complemented by eye witness accounts.

I would particularly like to hear from anyone who had first hand experience, or who has photographs, paperwork or memorabilia - including souvenirs from Flying Bomb incidents.

In addition, anyone with knowledge of the few V2 rocket attacks is asked to get in touch.

Lastly, I do know that bits and pieces of V1s are still to be found scattered around the countryside - if one knows where to look!

Can anyone tell me where such relics are still to be found in the countryside - whether farmland, woodland, downland or gardens!
