Hope new chairman will push safety agenda
MAY I please welcome the concern expressed by councillor Mike Warrington the new chairman of Rustington Parish Council, regarding the traffic problems in the village (Gazette, May 24)?
The very important success of his immediate predecessor, councillor Graham Tyler, in persuading West Sussex County Council to agree to provide a footpath on the east side of Sea Lane, north of Cudlow Avenue, should not, however, be overlooked.
This long overdue pedestrian safety scheme is now at the design stage and I hope that Mr Warrington will continue Mr Tyler's initiative with the county council to ensure that it is brought to early fruition.
