For budding young authors there is a chance to see their work on the shelves for the day - and all contributors collect a literary festive goodie bag! Daisy would like children to write/illustrate their own book, which will be displayed during the day for all to admire.

This is open to children 8 years and under - ‘books’ should be no bigger than 6” x 9” and can be hand written or typed. Please send all entries to; Penang, Shipley Road, Southwater RH13 9BG and enclose a SAE if you want the book returned. Closing date is November 28th and goodie bags can be collected in store at Rachael’s Kitchen on the 29th. Daisy explains, “With two young children of my own I know how important it is to encourage reading and writing, and this is a chance to showcase young talent. The main thing is the children write/illustrate the book themselves. I’m not looking for perfection, just that they have had the courage and imagination to create.”
