On Sunday 23 March, runners took to the park in Horsham to run one, three, or six miles to raise money for Sport Relief through entry fees and donations.

The atmosphere was great in the park, with the weather contributing to a fantastic event.

There was also entertainment on the day for spectators including Outdoor Military Fitness, who provided an assault course in the morning and a mass warm up before the opening mile.

Horsham Joggers and Horsham District Health and Wellbeing were there to give information while DC Leisure had some special Sport Relief offers available.

A massive £13,500 was raised at the Sport Relief Mile in Horsham in 2012.

The overall fundraising figure for 2014 won’t be known just yet but the overall figure will be posted on the Council’s facebook and Twitter pages once it’s been confirmed by Sport Relief.
