Hospital will never happen

FOLLOWING on from the letter (Gazette, September 10), surely people by now must realise the hospital will never be built?

The haste with which the old hospital was demolished was suspect. You can revitalise an old building, but not a piece of flat ground.

The next stage in this saga will be the admission that the finances will allow only a hospital of reduced size. Then on and on and on until the steam runs out of the protest.

I do wonder about the priorities of today. I know the funding comes from different sources. But what comes first, long seat or hospital?

When the seat is installed, all the dignitaries will be there, singing "what a wonderful world". Forget politicians of national or local persuasion, they all play to the gallery.
