Housing, once again

ONCE again, a notice goes up to inform the public about a new housing development being built in Linden Road, Littlehampton.

I believe the drains in the area are frequently pumped out.

If, and when, this block of nine apartments of various sizes is put up, there is a chance this will be a regular occurrence, or else the playing field next to it could be in danger of flooding.

Add to that the parking problem that is developing, as commuters leave their vehicles in the adjoining roads.

It has worried me for some time that Littlehampton is going to become a huge housing estate by-the-sea, with nothing to do, especially for the young people.

Normally, when an area is rebuilt, it is developed in all aspects, not just supermarkets.

What happened to all the small traders, butchers, fishmongers, etc?

Councillors aren’t always right.

I would like to see them take some notice of what the people want, that is unless the electorate have become used to being ignored.
