It’s all in the name

AS A lifelong Littlehampton resident, I am delighted to see that at last we appear to be living up to our motto of “Progress”. So much seems to be happening here at the moment and it’s all to the good!

Like many others, I am thrilled that Waitrose is opening a store in the town and, whilst some things may cost a little more, Waitrose is renowned for excellent quality, friendly and helpful staff and a totally pleasurable shopping experience.

Fridays sees the town centre ‘buzzing’ with the market in full swing and people enjoying a coffee from one of several excellent establishments.

This lively atmosphere and beautiful floral displays presents a very welcoming feel for the many visitors to our area and what an area that is! Within a very few miles we have the sea, a choice of beautiful beaches and the countryside – how lucky we are.

Last week, we discovered a delightful little cafe at the sea end of Norfolk Road, called Toast, where we enjoyed a fantastic English breakfast - do give it a try.

In these difficult times it is great to see Littlehampton living up to its motto - long may this PROGRESS continue.
