The college’s own “Dream Team” of students, who visit schools and colleges across the region to help year 10 and 11 pupils make informed choices about their futures, will present live at the event in the college’s Duckering Hall.

Dream Team’s Zoë Hough, who will act as MC, explained: “The ‘Meet the Students’ evening is a fantastic opportunity for year 11 students to get the full flavour of Collyer’s life from real students; a chance to discover what Collyer’s means to us and how our sixth form education is a whole lot more than just studying!”

Dream Team’s Tara Lucas added: “After our presentation, visitors will have a great opportunity to tour the college and speak to current students about their experiences. Who better to ask about a college than the current students?!”

Learners from each of the subject areas will be on hand with advice and guidance and offer tours of the college.

The event will particularly suit current year 11 pupils who are thinking of applying to Collyer’s for September 2013, but were not able to attend the hugely successful Open Evenings during the Autumn term.

Dream Team’s Dan Mannion said: “I would absolutely encourage anyone who missed our Open Evenings to come along. It is a great opportunity to find out more about this outstanding college from the students’ perspective”.

Dream Team’s Aimée Hayes is looking forward to the presentation: “The Collyer’s ‘Dream Team’ has been my opportunity to give something back.

After we’ve been to all the different feeder schools in the area, it’s great to finally present on home ground: we can show you what we all love so much about the place from courses to clubs and interesting opportunities in and around the college.”

The College of Richard Collyer is a sixth form based in Horsham with approximately 1,600 full-time 16-18 students. As a top performing institution, Collyer’s has Beacon status and enjoys an “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted.
