Kept waiting at Worthing Hospital visit

My appointment with a consultant at Worthing Hospital was issued to me for January 14 at 10.40am.

To this day I have no knowledge of her name as courtesy seems to be sadly lacking as there was no apology for keeping me waiting (just over two and a half hours) or indeed introducing herself.

A further 15 minutes when I was ushered into her consulting room. She started to examine me by removing my jumper, then walked in and out of the room eventually informing me that physiotherapy had been planned for me and that I would receive this through the post during the next three or four days.

To date, January 29, I have received nothing 15 days late to be exact.

Oh and by the way an appointment isn’t considered an appointment, I was informed it was just so that you were present. What absolute piffle.

I rang my practice Kingfisher Lancing. No problem here, great doctors, helpful staff and always able to receive an appointment.

They told me to ring the hospital.

I was told to leave my name and telephone number and they would get back to me to discuss my complaint

Can’t blame them because I intended to blast them with both barrels

Having had three Cortizone injections the full quota and be armed with just a tube of pain relief gel my shoulder neck and arm are still quite painful.

Sleeping at night is agony and I am up and down like a yo-yo. This has been the problem now for well over a year and I am no nearer to being cured than when this began.
