Lets at least be more informed

What a good informative letter from Duncan Lee on January 8 in which he shines the light on solutions to be grasped urgently to save our severely damaged environment of interconnected air, water and soil on which we absolutely depend for breathing, food '“ well, survival!

The recent Paris Climate Summit pays lots of wonderful lip service to it but almost disarmed its whole frame work by not providing the concrete tools and penalties for non compliance with stated objectives.

It is not in David Cameron,our leader’s, top four priorities nor did Huw Merriman MP mention it in his article for the year in the same issue.

Our neighbouring MP minister for climate change Amber Rudd has made decisions contradictory to her Parisienne aims.

Is she going to be the minister for increasing climate temperature?

Tony Ashby (January 8) and AndreaNeedham (January 1) have again raised the issue of disastrous short-termism causing ecological damage and probable elimination of some species of fauna and flora, of the Link Road.

It shortens the journey from A to B as well as shortening the time to climate disaster by propelling us faster to global temperature increase which fuels the evaporating rain cycle, tornado speed energy, consequential droughts and a race to break every previous weather record monthly.

One of the greatest researched minds on this matter is Naomi Klein, whose book This Changes Everything, is now out on film.

Einstein famously said that the thinking that caused the problem is not the thinking that will solve the problem.

The debate must be more informed and not fossilised.

Let’s all grasp positive and empowering initiatives, or at least be more informed.
