LETTER: Amazed to find Post Office closed

I was amazed to find the Horsham Carfax Post Office closed on Saturday April 26 from 12.30-2.30pm due to staff shortages.

How on earth in the current economic climate, can any business be short of staff!

Surely any well run retail business in a service orientated environment can trade throughout one of the busiest days of the week without having to close.

Having returned at 2.25pm, I waited a further ten minutes for the Post Office to reopen and joined the many dissatisfied customers in the long queue, only then to find only three staff serving.

What a disappointing experience and will avoid from now on.
