LETTER: Amazing staff at Crawley H&M

I am a 36-year-old woman and suffering from an aggressive form of breast cancer currently being treated with chemotherapy.

I recently went to Crawley on a shopping trip with my husband and mum and one of my sons. We had only just got there and went to H&M first. After 10 minutes of looking I became very hot and my vision started to go out of focus. I alerted my husband to the fact and then suddenly collapsed.

From accounts from my husband and mum and son, staff at H&M were amazing. Not only did they call the ambulance but they kept my mum calm and shielded my son from what was happening and took him to their staff room and cared for him.

The manager shut the whole top floor off and staff moved me into recovery and sat by my side whilst waiting for paramedics, all the time keeping my family calm too.

The manager even gave my son a little gift and also paid for my mum and son to get home by taxi to the other side of Redhill.

I am still currently in hospital and hoping to go home today with any luck.

But I feel that H&M should be recognised for what a professional and caring manor they dealt with such a situation, as they truly did an amazing job.

Once I am well enough I will be going back to thank the staff for caring for me and for my family.

People are to quick to moan about shops for certain things and they don’t often get recognition for good they do.

The staff in H&M work well as a team and should be recognised for that.
