LETTER: Best use of cash

HAVING just read in the Gazette that Morrisons supermarket gave over £100,000 to Arun District Council, why can’t the Windmill Entertainment Centre be taken back by the council and some of this money spent on updating and running it at a profit, rather than running it into the ground?

They could tell the community about the good films and theatre productions they were putting on, and then they would have had better attendances than in the past and, hopefully, the Windmill would stay open, unless, of course, they want to sell it for apartments.

The council says it wants to rejuvenate Littlehampton, but it is getting rid of the best asset it has.
