LETTER: Blank canvas for excellent project
When the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley was in the planning stage an indoor bowling rink was not going to be included. After protests and much begging, we bowlers managed to get the planners to change tack and we eventually ended up with two rinks.
Several years down the line, Crawley council and K2 are trying to get rid of indoor bowls – now we hear that a new leisure centre at Broadbridge Heath is not going to include the very same facility. What have we bowlers done to deserve this kick in the teeth?
You have a blank canvas - use it as a centre of excellence for as many facilities as possible, including indoor bowls.
