LETTER: Car show was one of best ever

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Bexhill 100 Classic Car Show on Bank Holiday Monday, members of the public, car entrants and traders, for making this one of our best ever shows.

Not forgetting of course our last minute guest, Eddie Izzard, and Chairman of ESCC, Michael Ensor for opening the show.

The club apologises for any confusion arising from the erroneous gate entry charges published in the local media, this information was not provided by us.

Also we apologise for the ‘inconvenience’ of having to close the main toilets due to a blocked drain, again out of our control.

Fortunately, based on previous years’ experience, we hired in additional toilet facilities for the comfort of our visitors.

Figures are yet to be finalised but thanks to the continued support of the public and classic car owners, we should be in a position to make substantial donations to our four nominated charities and would welcome applications from local groups to be considered for donations next year.
