LETTER: Care concerns

Pam Thomas writes:

Of course we need a new acute hospital in the Horsham area. Traipsing back and forth to East Surrey is a nightmare - and that’s with a car. If we lose Horsham Hospital, so be it, as long as we have a better one nearby.

Just for now, I believe we have 2,000 more homes being built either side of the A24. There are very few beds at Horsham. Parking at Crawley is difficult.

With an ageing population and a later retirement age for relatives who might be carers, I have serious reservations about this continuing emphasis on day-care, day-surgery and care in the community.
