On behalf of Billingshurst Macmillan Support group, I would like to thank all those people who gave so generously to our collection at Tesco’s, Broadbridge Heath on Saturday, 19th September.

We raised £354.28 and this will go towards the care of local people with cancer as well as giving much needed support to their loved ones at a difficult time. Many thanks,

Once again, we had a very successful Steam Rally at Langhurst Hill Farm, Balls Cross GU28 9JW (opposite The Stag Inn) and we raised £8,034.95, all of which will go towards the care of local people with cancer.

The weather was extremely kind to us and our Billingshurst Macmillan ladies worked hard at producing scrumptious egg and bacon rolls, sausages and lambburgers, as well as making and selling cakes, preserves, etc. Our marquee was successful with Jill’s lovely handicrafts and there was a great deal of bric-a-brac, jigsaws, books, etc. etc.

Another is planned for next year - the weekend after August Bank Holiday.

Thanks to all those who came and supported us.

PAM GOLDSMITH

Treasurer, Billingshurst Macmillan Support Group, High Street, Billingshurst
