Letter: Council listens to one but not other

I refer to your article ( page 10 of your October 29 Issue) on the non-sale of council land at Ely Close to build affordable housing.
I attended the council meeting.
I came away with the impression that the new Labour administration has two faces.
One when it hears via Cllr Lloyd, squeaks from a few local residents and scuttles away, and one that fails to hear the roar of the 1,100 Broadfield voices raised against the imposition of a travellers’ site in Broadfield in the Local Plan.
The homeless should be very worried.
It only needs you and me to object to a development and the council will back down.
What is the council going to do with the site in Ely Close?
