LETTER: Disappointment at Energy Bill vote

I am disappointed that Horsham MP, Francis Maude, voted in the House of Commons against including a clean energy target in the Energy Bill.

He could have supported clean energy but chose not to. Does he support dirty fossil fuels, is he opposed to clean energy or was he just supporting George Osborne etc?

Because he voted as he did, there is no clearly stated clean energy target in the Energy Bill currently going through Parliament.

Despite Francis Maude, some of us do care about the future of the environment, especially for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

Hopefully the House of Lords will do the right thing and include this very necessary clean energy target in the Energy Bill when they come to debate and vote on it.
