LETTER: Flight departures misery missed by review team

CAGNE, Communities Against Gatwick Noise and Emissions, who discovered that the join to the final approach (ILS) had been moved in the west and convinced Sir Roy McNulty, chairman of Gatwick Airport, to include easterly arrivals in the review, would like to make the following statement:
Your views.Your views.
Your views.

We hope that Gatwick will consider the point that the review ignored the residents that already suffer true concentration (PRNAV) on departures in Sussex below 4,000ft. One of the recommendations is to subject these departure residents to arrivals as well, and when the wind permits subject them to arrivals that would have historically gone to the east.

We welcome many of the recommendations made by the review team but feel the misery that departures inflicts has been missed by the review team.
