LETTER: Kind gesture at Crawley Race for Life

I would like to say a big thank you to the very kind marshall situated on the last turn to the finishing line at the Crawley Race for Life on Sunday 26th June, the one wearing a pink cowboy hat.

Several of my family had entered and on learning that my four-year-old granddaughter had walked the whole 5k around the course, he very kindly gave her his hat, saying she deserved it for the effort.

It was such a kind gesture and made my family’s day.

The day was fantastic and had a brilliant atmosphere, we’ll be signing up next year!
