LETTER: Kind people who came to help us

At 9.40 am on Tuesday 13th October at the bottom of Hurst Road, Horsham, my husband turned into North Parade on his mobile scooter, hit a kerb edging, and the scooter was thrown on to its side.

My husband hit his head on the pavement and fractured his ribs. We were so lucky to have all these kind people come to help us.

The lady that phoned the ambulance, the gentleman with a cloth that helped with the bleeding, the young students that moved the scooter for us, that lady that stopped her car to help us, builders from Roffey working in Hurst Road.

The Crawley ambulance crew was marvellous and were there before the lady had time to put her phone away, and of course as always the kind and caring doctors and nurses and staff of East Surrey Hospital.

Also Kay and Jane, the kind and dedicated nurses who will no doubt be in as soon as Les is home from hospital.

So from the bottom of our hearts a big grateful thank you to all of you.

JACKIE and LES HOGSFLESH and family
