As a local MP, there is nothing Francis Maude MP should regard as more important than preventing the Gatwick flight path trials from becoming permanent.

These trials are causing noise all day above Horsham that reduces quality of life. It is invasive and akin to an assault.

I simply don’t believe intervention is impossible: it is unlikely a Government or council would accept it cannot change something if it wants to enough.

If it was guaranteed Francis Maude MP would lose his seat if the flight path became permanent, would he try harder?

Or just become an MP for another constituency? Or just retire without honour?
