LETTER: Memorable days of festival music

From the encouraging feedback we have received and last week’s excellent write-up in the West Sussex County Times it is good to have confirmation that a great time was had by all at this year’s ‘Prom’ and free concerts organised by the charity Horsham Garden Music Festival.

With lovely weather for all six events some 2,600 people enjoyed relaxing in Horsham’s Human Nature Garden and listening to a total of 245 local musicians and singers.

We would like to thank everyone who made a donation to our festival funds or who contributed towards the bucket collection that raised £935.42 for the two local charities Horsham in Bloom and The Springboard Project.

Very many thanks also to the performers, especially those who entertained an appreciative audience for free; to our many generous sponsors and supporters; and to all those who helped in creating such a joyful, memorable and successful family-focused series of afternoon concerts.

Delighted to have successfully staged this, our second annual, festival we are already beginning to plan for next year.

We very much want to keep as many concerts as possible free and continue to involve the whole community. Consequently, we would be pleased to hear from local retailers and businesses who would like to discuss supporting this popular local community event with sponsorship opportunities.

Additionally we would be pleased to hear from local musicians who would be interested in taking part in the 2014 festival, and from individuals who can help with the planning and delivery of an even better experience next year.
