LETTER: Memories of little house

I recently cycled to Hills Cemetery, and stopped to look at the little structure at the corner of the lane and Guildford Road, Horsham, mentioned by Mr Tofield in a letter to be WSCT a few weeks ago.

As a child, in the forties, I used to run from morning Sunday school to the railway station to catch the number 69 double decker Southdown Bognor bus, with my grandmother, and sometimes a toddler cousin.

We would alight at Hillside to visit the cemetery. I would often look at the little house, and I seem to remember that in the base was an oval shaped white enamel container for water for dogs.
