LETTER: My sincere thanks

Having long been a critic of the workings of the nhs, mostly the system and waiting times, most certainly NOT the staff, who also appear to share and understand some of our frustrations, I would like to report on my recent stay in Hurstwood Park neurological centre.

I was finally admitted on Monday 18th November, with my scheduled back operation carried out the following morning. Each and every member of staff I met, was friendly, patient and extremely caring - I really cannot praise and thank the team enough. They perform what at times must be a very testing job, with a smile and at times an appropriate sense of humour.

The ‘icing’ on the cake, was the food - varied choice, appetising, well presented and served hot!

Apart from the inevitable discomfort of the operation, a genuinely pleasant experience.

Once again, a big up for everyone at the neurological centre, with my sincere heartfelt thanks.
