LETTER: Paying for the upkeep of roads

Congratulations to the residents of Lambs Farm Road in getting their road resurfaced.

We have just had a patchwork quilt repair to Manor Fields where the deepest potholes have been repaired but others have not, as they were deemed to be not deep enough.

It is obvious that the damage to our roads is being caused by the No 98 bus as one side is pristine and the other badly potholed (the bus only goes one way round Roffey for those readers unaware of this).

Isn’t it about time that the bus companies paid their fair share of the upkeep of our roads?
