LETTER: Put a stop to this ridiculous idea
As a seasoned traveller throughout the UK mainland, it is my considered opinion that the building of a second runway at Gatwick Airport is the equivalent of constructing a new Cotswold International Airport! Please, please, kindly stop this ridiculous idea and leave Hampshire, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Kent and South London in peace.
The current infrastructure of roads, schools, hospitals, water companies, sewage plants, electricity supplies, railways, public transport etc, etc, etc, are all at bursting point.
If anyone can help in forwarding this thought to the inquiry I would appreciate it.
