They will need to proactively promote the hour long presentations locally by approaching schools and local education authorities. The school speaker volunteers should have experience of talking to groups of children however training will be provided to educate speakers about diabetes and Diabetes UK and assistance offered to develop presentation skills. Presentations and information material will also be provided. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by helping teachers and children recognise the signs of diabetes, understand the support available to schools and the care young people can expect once they have been diagnosed.

To apply please call Diabetes UK South East Office on 01372 720 148 or email [email protected] and the closing date is 8 July.
