LETTER: Searching for Hickox family

I am visiting Sussex later in the year and would really like to speak to anyone who has any knowledge of the Hickox family of Wiston.

My grandfather Fred Hickox farmed at Abbotts Farm, Wiston, in the early to mid 1900s. He had three sons with his first wife, Edith Knight; Ron, Harry and Fred. He had one son, Alan (my father) with his second wife, my grandmother, Florence Daisy Tyrrell who I think was a cousin of his first wife.

I believe there was also a connection with the Golds family and links to Ashington and Egham, Surrey/Staines, Mddx.

If you have any information about the family I would love to hear from you as I know very little about my father’s family.
