Theo Cronin reports that a lawyer, Mr Kwiatkowski, (Mid Sussex Times, 17th April, “Replacement Lighting Project”) says that “the replacement lights emit much less light than the old lights”.

It seems that WSCC has contracted with SSE to replace all the lights in the villages of West Sussex.

It also seems that this is to be financed by using a PFI (Private Finance Initiative). This basically means that WSCC has saddled our children with the cost plus interest of replacing the lights throughout the county.

I think that this is a shocking indictment of our lords and masters. I hope that you will join me in condemning WSCC for the way in which they have handled this “improvement.”
