Letter: We are very conscious of the problems at Haywards Heath
I would again like to comment upon the electronic signage directing traffic onto the Relief Road.
Haywards Heath Town Council is very conscious of the problems associated with the infrastructure along Rocky Lane and is working with West Sussex County Council to resolve them in an expedient manner.
The electronic signs have been placed to endeavour to reduce the traffic using Butlers Green Road which has been and will again be in January subject to major utility works. Without the introduction of the electronic signage the traffic congestion in and around the town was causing gridlock and queuing traffic backing up to Ansty.If it is of any consolation, observance of some HGVs shows that they still prefer to traverse the town centre.
