LETTER: Were headlines really necessary?

What on earth has been happening at the Pavilions, I thought as I bought last week’s newspaper? Has there been riots, stabbings, bombings? No some poor soul collapsed and died after taking a swim. I feel so sorry for his poor relatives to be confronted with these sensationalist headlines every time they pass a newsagents or supermarket. Was it really necessary?
