LETTERS: Turned away from council meetings
Only those who had submitted written questions were allowed access. It is obvious that many more than those few will have concerns to be addressed. These are important matters, relevant to all in the community.
No thought seems to have been given to the numbers attending. A suggestion that the meeting be postponed until suitable accommodation could be obtained was ignored.

Hide AdDemocracy is supposed to be participatory. It has not been in this instance.
Decisions are likely to have been made affecting all and merely passed on to the public but without the agreement of the council tax-paying majority.
