Light at the end of the pipe

Does anyone know how long the residents of Sea Road, Winchelsea, are expected to endure the non-stop lorries transporting mainly rainwater, from the beach to the Rye Harbour road facility?

On a par with Stanley Baker’s film The Hell Drivers for those of us who can remember it.

I understand the drainage system has not been upgraded from the time when the beach was only a small community, but planners seem to be happy to exacerbate the situation by allowing more and more development at the beach.

Perhaps the only way to get an upgrade to the drainage is by overloading the system so much that an upgrade is inevitable.
