Litter still disgrace

IT will be good to have a ferry again, but what plans has the council got for the extra litter it will bring to West Beach?

Even now, the shingle is strewn with rubbish, and some places in the dunes look as if they haven't been cleaned for years.

I sometimes collect bagfuls of bottles and cans on my way home, but if I leave them by the totally inadequate litter bins I am liable to be prosecuted for fly-tipping!

There should be big, conspicuous recycling containers in the car park, by the path to the toilets. If people knew there was somewhere to put their picnic litter, they would be less likely to leave it on the beach.
