Little comfort for weary on longest bench mock-up slats

WE would like to urge all residents who have the slightest interest in the seafront bench to try out the mock-up outside Arun Civic Centre.

That is what we did this week and, oh dear!

All we can say is that, for us, it's the most uncomfortable thing we have ever sat on.

Although it is academic at this stage, we still felt it was worthwhile letting the council know our opinion –that if only the slats were double the width, it may at least be a little more comfortable to sit on.
