Two letters in the Observer re: the proposed town council, made me wonder - what has been done to help Little Common since the present councillors took their seats? Nothing as far as I can see. It is now a complete eyesore.

Even before the Covid-19 started there were shops closing every week and since then we will have others no doubt following suit.

One councillor, said that they would abolish the car park charge as soon as elected, to try and help encourage shoppers. This, of course, did not happen.

Parking is atrocious around the side streets, the roads are fast falling into disrepair and the verges are never cut.

Rubbish is thrown at the residents bins that sit between the former Nationwide shop and Touch of Class shop and it stinks on a hot day.

Independent councillors have let our village become so run down no-one bothers. So please don’t ask us to vote for a town council, we dearly would love a village council.
