Loss is disgrace

Why can’t the new ophthalmology centre at Southlands Hospital be housed in the Harness Block and the remainder of the building used for the overflow of patients waiting for discharge from Worthing Hospital, thus freeing up beds?

It is a disgrace that a building that is only 36 years old should be demolished along with Beeding House, a beautiful old building.

No thought has been given to the pressure on the already stretched services, i.e. schools, GP surgeries, roads, etc.

A little money and some common sense could restore this once excellent hospital to its former glory.
