Macmillan fundraiser in memory of dentist

On Friday September 25 East Mews Dental Care held a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning at our practice between 10-2 in memory of our dentist Dr Claire Burtenshaw.

We lost Claire to cancer in 2013. She was much loved by ourselves and her patients.

In advance we asked the businesses local to East Mews, East Street and Piries Place for raffle prizes and had an amazing response, fabulous prizes from Restaurant Tristan, Blossoms Florist, Fiesta Tots, La Source, Wimblehurst Chocolates and many more.

We had an unexpected large turn out from our wonderful patients all keen to join in, our team made delicious cakes and we raised.... £809.50!

We still can’t quite believe how much was made and we have a few donations promised on top of that.
