Memorial praise

I think it is a very good idea to have a permanent war memorial on the new Kingley Gate development at Littlehampton, to honour those brave men who died fighting for our country.

I would just like to point out that in November, 2012, a restored First World war memorial plaque was erected in the large hall at Wick Hall, in Wick Street.

Whilst I realise that, this being inside the hall, it is not easily accessible for the people of Wick to pay their respects, there have been several memorial services held over the last couple of years, including a service in August, 2014, to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War.

I wish councillors Mike Northeast and Tony Squires, and Barratt Homes, all the best in creating this new memorial.
