More responsible not to attend Eastbourne Remembrance parade

Much as it was heart-warming to read of A Bernhem-Parter’s enthusiasm for the local Remembrance Parade click here to read, it is a relief that the number of onlookers, which often includes myself, acted responsibly in not turning up to participate.

Your correspondent appears to be sanguine about the risks involved in catching Covid-19.

He or she would do well to take note of the experiences of patients currently shown on television and the exhaustion and pain in contracting the disease.

While this whole unhappy saga has evinced in its wake a considerable degree of armchair expertise, I prefer to attend to the words of Dr Chris Whitty and Sir Patrick Vallance rather than those of certain Tory MPs and others concerned more about rights taken from us during this unique period in our lives.
