Mountain bike championship

Maddy Giller won silver for Farlington School at the British Schools Cycling Association National Mountain Bike Championship at Stamner Park, Brighton on Sunday 27th April.

Maddy, who is in Prep 5, loves cycling and entered the competition for fun and to gain experience of a new type of cycling. The course was very tough, with many more boys than girls taking part in the day’s competition. She did well to complete the six-lap course, let alone gain a medal.

She is also a keen triathlete and is contesting the Triathlon England South East Juniors Series with good results in the preseason duathlons.
